A prestigious, global law firm with a substantial presence in London is seeking a Management Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. The firm operates across a wide array of practice areas including corporate, litigation, real estate, tax, and regulatory law, serving clients in industries such as pharmaceuticals, energy, real estate, financial services, automotive, and communications.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
Collaborate with the Business Director to produce monthly Management Information for shareholder meetings, addressing key queries and insights.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes alongside the Finance Manager.
Partner with departmental stakeholders to provide financial advice and performance guidance.
Assist in year-end statutory accounts preparation, audit processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Support internal and regulatory reporting requirements including VAT, corporation tax, and other filings.
Contribute to revenue management efforts, including WIP and AR reviews, and assist in collection initiatives.
Drive improvements in internal financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Authorise payments and assist with ad-hoc finance projects as required.
Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities, including data extraction and pivot tables.
Proven ability to analyse financial data and communicate findings clearly.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently across all levels of the business.
Experience in a professional services environment (e.g. legal, banking, consulting) is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
