The client is looking to recruit a Night Patrol Officer to work in a homeless hostel that supports clients aged 18-65, based in Cambridgeshire.

Length: Temporary to permanent
Location: Huntingdon
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shifts: Thurs – Mon, 10:00pm to 6:00am

The role involves:
• Supporting homeless clients to become more independent in temporary accommodation
• Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise
• Providing a night support service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel
• Controlling access to the building
• Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
• Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
• Dealing with health and safety issues
• Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
• Contacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
• Ensuring tenants adhere to their tenancy agreements
• Signposting service users to specialist services when required
• Turning around void rooms within a timely manner which includes cleaning duties and removal of waste and rubbish
• This role does involve lone working

Essential requirements:
• Experience with supporting vulnerable people to become more independent
• Experience working night shifts
• You will need to be a driver with access to a car
• An Enhanced DBS from within 3 years or willingness to obtain a new one
