Position: Warehouse X-Ray Screener

Location: Colnbrook, Slough

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday (10pm - 6am)

Salary: £35k

We are seeking two experienced X-Ray Screeners to work for this busy Freight Forwarding Agent based in Colnbrook, working a Tue-Sat NIGHT shift. As an X-Ray Screener you will be responsible for operating and conducting security checks of Cargo items being transported via air.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Operate X-Ray screening equipment
  • Examine items ready for export
  • Analyse X-Ray images to identify any potential threats
  • Conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air, in line with training and CAA regulations.
  • Recording and escalating any issues or concerns
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Assisting in general warehouse duties, forklift duties
  • Utilise knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, common cargo abbreviations
  • Pallet screening

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in X-Ray screening
  • Previous experience in a time-sensitive environment is desirable
  • Certification in Cargo X-Ray screening
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a faced paced environment
  • Must be physically fit due to manual handling
  • Excellent English communication skills; (verbal & written).

Essential Requirements:

  • Steady 5-year employment history in the UK - must be verifiable
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (Basic DBS Check)
  • Cargo Operative Screening Cert
  • FLT licence C/B
