Summary

Responsible for overseeing the logistics of a deal to maximize our clients commercial advantage while ensuring all contractual and compliance obligations are fulfilled. Acts as a key operational interface with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless front-to-back processes and influencing trading decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate, relevant, timely, and complete reporting of commercial KPIs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Analyze market trends and risk concepts to develop regional marketing strategies that comply with risk management policies.
  • Negotiate and execute North Sea crude oil sales to ensure smooth upstream production, maximize market value, and secure cash flow.
  • Lead contract negotiations, reviews, and coordination of approvals and execution in line with internal policies.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of crude shipments.
  • Explore trading opportunities within the Dtd Brent Benchmark business.
  • Support cross-region marketing for South America and Middle East equity production, and explore potential customers in European regions.
  • Assist in sourcing regional grades to supply system refineries in accordance with head office arrangements.
  • Develop international trading business within the North Sea and Europe regions.
  • Identify and implement methods to improve transaction profitability, constantly seeking opportunities to minimize costs and maximize service.
  • Resolve disputes or claims and provide commercial suggestions to the Legal department.
  • Assess market trends and research market gaps to enable business development.
  • Formulate hedging strategies and support derivative traders in making hedging decisions.
  • Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal and external counterparties.
  • Ensure timely reporting of critical business information to relevant management for strategic, operational, and commercial decision-making.
  • Comply with all risk and credit policies.
