NPI Engineer. As a Project Engineer specialising in New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of assigned projects from inception to production.

Your key duties will include:
- Project Management: Oversee NPI projects to ensure timely delivery, adherence to specifications, and budget compliance.
- Customer and Vendor Relations: Act as the company's representative to customers and selected vendors throughout project execution.
- Status Reporting: Provide regular project updates internally and to customers, highlighting progress and addressing any issues.
- Timing Plans: Develop comprehensive timing plans from order receipt to start of production (SOP).
- Problem-Solving: Offer solutions to technical and delivery challenges.
- Tooling Management: Conduct design reviews and final buy-offs for tools, coordinating with toolmakers in the UK and China. Periodic travel to China will be required.
- Scope Negotiation: Negotiate work scope and changes with customers and vendors to ensure clarity and agreement.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets and manage vendor orders.
- Documentation: Create and review APQP and PPAP documents for customer submission.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Work with other departments to ensure timely completion of project tasks.
- Production Handover: Transfer all necessary documents, tools, and fixtures to production and quality teams before SOP.
- Safety and Support: Ensure the delivery of safe manufacturing processes and provide ongoing support post-SOP.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Technical Reviews: Support technical feasibility and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Qualifications and Education:
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent in an engineering or science discipline.

Required Skills:
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to make independent decisions, set priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with our manufacturing processes, including Pressing/Stamping, Laser Cutting, Press Brake, MIG Welding, Projection Welding, Machining, and Mechanical Assembly.
- Understanding of automation equipment.
