Nursery Assistant

Your new company
Hays have partnered with a local school that has a nursery attached. This school is currently looking for an experienced nursery assistant to support the 2 -3 year olds, starting in September.
Your new role
As a nursery assistant, you will be expected to look after the children, supporting them with play, feeding, personal care and activities. You will also be expected to report on the progress and observations of the children and communicate with other teachers and parents.
You will be responsible for supporting the manager with the day to day running of the nursery in line with Ofsted requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant qualifications and experience suitable for working with children of primary school age
An ability to work as part of a close and friendly team of class teachers and other Teaching Assistants.
A high level of patience and understanding.
Enthusiasm and passion for working with children to support their needs and help them reach their potential.
Excellent basic skills in literacy, numeracy and good spoken English.
