Nursery Manager

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent who are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager for their setting based near Cheshunt. They are also seeking a Toddler Room Leader!

The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will need to maintain strong organisation skills and attention to detail and display resourcefulness to ensure the setting has the right culture, policies and resources to deliver the high standards of childcare and early years education expected by parents, Ofsted, and in accordance with the companies values

The Nursery is situated in a beautiful Victorian House  and strive to provide every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive & stimulating environment.

For this position you are required to have:

  • Early years education and care qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Nursery manager or Deputy Manager capacity
  • Excellent knowledge of the current Early Years’ Inspection framework
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
  • Experience with nursery administration (children invoices, payroll and timesheets)
  • Competent PC user (word processing, spreadsheets, emails)

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Team working, they are a lovely family feel nursery and we strive for happiness for our people and would love to have a Nursery Manager who values the whole team as much as we do.

·        Ensuring the highest standards of childcare are delivered at the setting

  • Budget management including running costs of the nursery.

·        Conducting regular staff supervisions, and creates plans for staff development

·        Delivering high setting occupancy, promoting the setting through local marketing

  • Recruiting, inducting, supporting and conducting appraisals and one to one meetings with your team to lead them to success.
  • Upskilling the leaders within your nursery to ensure that they lead their relevant areas or rooms effectively..

·        Improving financial performance year over year

·        Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery and hold overall responsibility for the day to day management of safeguarding and child protection policies within the nursery

·        Building an effective parent engagement strategy, creating links between home and the setting.
