Exciting Opportunity for an Inspirational Nursery Manager in Chester!

We are looking for a dedicated, inspiring leader who isn’t afraid to go the extra mile. You’ll lead by example, ensuring that our children receive exceptional care and education, while guiding and supporting our fantastic team.

About Headstart Nursery:

We’re also proud to offer a Forest School programme, which gives children the opportunity to learn outdoors. These exciting sessions take place three days a week, and the outdoor area is available to all age groups throughout the week.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead staffing, induction, training, and development to create a motivated, high-performing team
  • Ensure systems are in place for accurate reporting and monitoring of nursery operations
  • Manage occupancy and financial budgets, meeting targets
  • Ensure the Connect Childcare database system is maintained with up-to-date information
  • Oversee extracurricular activities and ensure they meet EYFS requirements
  • Maintain appropriate staff ratios and effective deployment across the nursery
  • Take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe environment
  • Lead the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, promoting high standards of care and education
  • Liaise with external professionals to support the needs of the children
  • Collaborate with the Nursery SENDCo on SEND-related matters
  • Ensure adherence to the safer recruitment process
  • Complete weekly staff rotas and ensure accurate attendance records for both staff and children
  • Provide policies, procedures, and support to the team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Safeguard the physical health and well-being of the children in your care
