Are you a Nursery Practitioner looking for long term work until the end of the Summer Holidays?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate Nursery Practitioner to fulfil a full time cover role within a Nursery based in Tadley.

The nursery (rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted recently) offers professional care for children for 51 weeks of the year, serving both the local and surrounding community. They aim to provide a stimulating, well structured, safe, happy and supportive environment through play, in order for all children to develop to their full potential. Offering a wide range of activities and experiences, they believe that this would provide excellent opportunities for enrichment of each individual who attends.

As the Nursery Practitioner, you will assist in the provision of a high standard of childcare within a stimulating and friendly environment that is physically and emotionally secure, in accordance with Hampshire County Council’s policies and practice in meeting National Standards. You will welcome and introduce children and their families and facilitate the settling in process of your key person’s children, attend to the physical needs of the children and monitor/review all children’s records and assessments. You will keep confidentialities at all times and be responsible for working closely with parents, staff and of course, the children.

For this role, you will be/will need:

  • GSCE English and Maths or equivalent (essential)
  • Committed to working towards a suitable qualification in childcare
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare (desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
  • Understanding of the needs of children between 0-5 years
  • DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
