Nursery Practitioner for Central London
JOB description -
Work Hours
9.00am - 5.30pm
Monday to Friday full time only (No half- terms are offered)
Holidays are in: total of 4 weeks (across December, August and during Easter) plus 2 Bank Holidays
1 week notice
6 months of probation
Salary:
level 2 at £11 per hour
Level 3 at £12 per hour
Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a passionate and hard-working individual to join one of our Montessori Schools in central London in a role of a KEY WORKER .
If you have a real passion for working with children form birth to 3 years and a good working knowledge of EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.
Person Specification:
NVQ level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification
strong knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
MUST have valid references
MUST have valid DBS or be willing to do one
MUST be located in UK
Some of Practitioner's responsibilities will include:
- Providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children
- Supporting children at meal times, sleep times and with personal care
- Working as a Key worker carrying out regular observations on children and updating their development files
- Adhering to nursery policy and procedures
- Working with EYFS curriculum planning age appropriate activities
- Promoting diversity and equal opportunity
- Develop and maintaining professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and other childcare professionals
- Attending staff meetings and further training as required
