French Speaking Nursery Assistant Required for Nursery School in Lambeth

About the role:

At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting nursery assistants for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic French Speaking Nursery Assistant to work full-time in the baby room at a fantastic Nursery school in Lambeth.

Must:

  • French Speaking
  • Experience in a nursery (ideally baby room)

Main duties:

  • Provide engaging learning experiences, environments and opportunities appropriate to the age, stage and needs of individual and groups of children. These may be child or adult initiated.
  • Observe each child and shape their learning experience to reflect observations.
  • Support and promote children’s speech, language and communication development.
  • Supports children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play.
  • Using the key person approach ensure each child feels safe and secure.
  • Meets the individual care needs of each child.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles for example by encouraging babies and young children to consume healthy and balanced meals, snacks and drinks appropriate for their age and be physically active through planned and spontaneous activity through the day.
  • Successful work in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Encourage parents and/or carers to take an active role in the child’s play, learning and development.
  • Identify and act upon own responsibilities in relation to health and safety, security, confidentiality of information, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Maintain accurate and coherent records and reports.
  • Undertake appropriate duties assigned by management within the scope of the role.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Some experience of working with Nursery children or in a school
  • A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
  • Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
  • level 3 support staff qualification
