Nursery Practitioner

Nurse Seekers are recruiting a Qualified Nursery Practitioner for a quality and friendly Nursery based near Truro, Cornwall! The right candidate must ensure a high standard of physical, social, emotional and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a positive Key Worker
  • To maintain the learning journeys of the children in your group, including recording observations; summative assessments; next steps, school transition records and two year old assessments if appropriate.
  • To work in partnership with other staff members on curriculum planning, using the revised EYFS document and the Ofsted Early Years Inspection handbook (Jan 2024).
  • Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy of the nursery is fulfilled.
  • Make accurate and effective assessments of the children during the stages of development
  • Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care
  • Provide a high standard of physical, emotional and social care
  • The preparation and completion of activities to suit each individual child's stage of development
  • Foresee the needs of special needs children and give physical, emotional and intellectual guidance as appropriate.
  • Plan and provide effective teaching and learning
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
  • Build a warm and caring relationship with the children and parents alike
