Overview:

Seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a premier nursery in Catford, dedicated to providing exceptional early years education and care. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for childcare and early childhood education, with the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage with children in a variety of educational and play activities, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that stimulate curiosity and encourage exploration.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills in guiding and supervising children, ensuring they feel supported and valued.
  • Manage and oversee daily routines and activities within the nursery setting, promoting consistency and a positive atmosphere for both children and staff.

Qualifications:

- Hold relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education
- Have experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to drive to and from the nursery location
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
