Occupational Health Physician

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our Client’s multidisciplinary team.

Job Scope:

Supported by a health screening technician & clinic manager, the successful Occupational Health Physician applicant will be the lead clinician in a busy clinic, supporting both industry entrants and established offshore workers alike. Primary services delivered are offshore medicals, ‘fit to train’ assessments, pre-employment medical checks, ERTs and GWO/renewables medicals. Experience in other aspects of occupational health for offshore energy workers is desirable

The Occupational Health Physician duties and Responsibilities will be:

  • Complete offshore medicals in accordance with OEUK guidelines of medical fitness for work offshore.
  • Interpret results from health screening or diagnostic tests in line with current statutory and industry legislation.
  • Ensure client records are suitably maintained, with patient confidentiality upheld at all times.
  • Be accountable for the quality and level or medical care provided.
  • Progress case management with the timely review of GP/specialist reports.
  • The job holder is expected to be flexible and may be required to undertake additional duties, commensurate with the overall responsibilities of the job.
  • The job holder will undertake all activities in compliance with the requirements of the company’s and/or client’s Safety Management System (SMS)

To work as an Occupational Health Physician you will need to have the following:

  • Must have the Eligibility to Work in the UK
  • Must be Registered OEUK Doctor
  • Must have a valid GMC Pin 
  • Must have Primary Medical Degree
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Previous experience in General Medicine, A&E, ITU or acute care advantageous  

The successful Occupational Health Physician will benefit from:

  • Holidays - 29 days + 4 public holidays (1st and 2nd Jan, 25th and 26th Dec). Increasing by 1 day at 5, 7 and 10 years' service.

The Occupational Health Physician working hours will be: 

  • Mon – 11am – 8.30pm – (9.5 hours + 30 min break)
  • Tues – 11am – 6.30pm – (7 hours + 30 min break)
  • Wed – 11am – 7pm (7.5 hours + 30 min break)
  • Thurs – 10am – 6.30 (8 hours + 30 min break)
  • Ideal candidate will be working 32 hours. The client can be flexible around start times.
