Role and Responsibilities: As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and young people with a variety of moderate to complex additional needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans.
  • Providing direct intervention and therapeutic support to clients.
  • Training and upskilling staff, caregivers, and family members.
  • Efficiently managing and closing episodes of care.
  • Contributing to service development and improvement initiatives.
  • Traveling to community sites, including schools and homes, to deliver services.
Essential Criteria: To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with a range of moderate to complex additional needs at a Band 7 level.
  • Expertise in assessment, intervention planning, training/upskilling, providing intervention, and discharging.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to efficiently complete and close episodes of care.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a car, as the role involves visiting various community sites.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience with specialist seating.
  • Proficiency in upper limb splinting.

Requirements: 
  • Valid and active NMC Registration. 
  • Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse with medical proficiency. 
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology and procedures. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. 
  • Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. 
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
