Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Main base St Thomas's Hospital , Waterloo

We are looking for an occupational therapist to work at the lane fox unit based at St Thomas’ Hospital in/near Westminster or Waterloo stations.

Lane Fox Unit and Remeo centres are failure to wean units set up for patient who require optimisation for both invasive and non invasive ventilation.

The Lane Fox Unit (St Thomas’ Site) has 14 beds

Currently Lane Fox and Remeo Services have three Occupational Therapists

The post would be to fill in for a vacancy for this band 6 rotational post until a substantive post holder starts, which will be for 3 months initially.

For this role it would be helpful if you would be willing to travel to this site (travel is paid for) on a rota basis ie every three weeks for that week you are based there for 3 days and then the remaining two days could be a combination of work at STH site or Work From Home on one of the days once you are up to speed.

The role is a complex neuro rehabilitation for a neuro-muscular, respiratory and neurology population ie we have patients with MND, muscular dystrophy, Gillian barre syndrome, post polio etc.
