Office Administrator

  • Hourly Rate: £12 - £15
  • Location: Guildford (GU4), Surrey
  • 100% Office Based: Mon-Fri, Either 8-4 OR 9-5 - Flexible for the right person!
  • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (From August & Ongoing to approx. December 2024)

An established, family-run construction company in Guildford is looking for a temporary Office Administrator to provide full-time support from July ongoing to the end of the year, with potential of extension. The role involves a variety of general office and administrative duties within a friendly and dynamic team environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Answering and directing phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Utilising computer packages and managing Excel spreadsheets effectively.
  • Assisting with the tender and quotations process.
  • Performing general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and mailing.
  • Maintaining office systems and managing records.
  • Providing administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the office through efficient task management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Ability to support a busy office environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive, friendly attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Experience in the construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
