We are currently recruiting for an Office and Transport Administrator to work for a client based in Newbury.

Due to the continued growth of the business, they are looking to expand their team and recruit an experienced Administrator to assist the Office and Transport Manger with their daily tasks shared between them.

This role is to start asap on a temporary basis and for the right candidate there will be an opportunity to convert on to a permanent contract, so you need to be available on a long term basis.

Full-time – 42.5 hrs per week 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (0.5 hour for lunch)

£13.00 per hour.

Main Duties: Reporting to the Office Manager

Updating and recording holiday requisitions.

Entering Weekly Agency Timesheets.

Raising Purchase Orders for various departments.

Monitoring Stock Room levels.

Handle telephone and e-mail queries.

Assist with daily office operations as required.

Maintain an up-to-date filing system.

Main Duties: Reporting to the Transport Manager

Updating weekly transport and despatch schedules in Excel.

Liaison with existing customers to manage transport bookings & requirements.

Liaison with the transport fleet and 3rd party providers.

Managing and tracking all fleet, 3rd party & fuel costs.

Participate in transport spend tracking and internal reporting.

Assist with daily transport team and office operations as required.

Experience:

You will need to have 2-year minimum experience in an office environment

Skills:

MS Office Suite: Primarily Excel, Word and Outlook.

Displaying effective communication both orally and in writing, while possessing an excellent telephone manner.

Must have the ability to multitask, working on your own initiative with minimal supervision and having a conscientious and thorough approach to work.

Ability to successfully prioritise, manage time and resources, displaying effective organisational skills.

Have a flexible approach to work and display a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities, working alone or as part of a team.

Punctual, polite, professional, and courteous towards customers.
