The Department:

You will be part of our Office Services team at HW Fisher, reporting to our Office Manager.

The Role:

We require an Office Assistant to work in our London office.

The successful candidate should be able to work 8am - 4.30pm to allow for cover of other duties within the office, and it is a full-time position. This is an office-based role and the successful candidate must be able and comfortable to work in the office 5 days a week.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties of this role are varied in nature and include:

  • Assisting with processing the post, ensuring that this runs smoothly and efficiently, opening all post upon receipt and assisting in delivering all post across the office
  • Collection of the last post round; franking mail and leaving for collection by Royal Mail
  • Acting as cover for reception when necessary
  • Assisting with filing projects throughout the organisation
  • Photocopying, binding, and laminating documentation, including returning any photocopying, binding, or laminating to the relevant party
  • Having responsibility for keeping the binding area well stocked and tidy
  • Covering the roles of other Office Services team members, ensuring that all duties are effectively and efficiently covered
  • Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

Full training will be given to the successful candidate in regard to these duties.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be educated to a good standard with minimum Grades A* - C / 4 - 9 at GCSE English and Maths. A-levels would be an advantage, but not essential.

The successful candidate must be a strong team player and be able to demonstrate examples of this. Our Office Services team provides a key function within the organisation and therefore good communication skills and a strong, positive work ethic are essential.

There may be opportunities to develop in the organisation for the right candidate.
