We are now seeking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to join our team  and play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and efficient running of our administrative and people facing operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves variety, is highly organised and who has the confidence to challenge and influence others, including more senior colleagues and stakeholders, to ensure that the right outcomes are achieved.

About the role

This role has three core areas

  1. Overseeing the day-to-day office facilities ensuring that the SU has a clean, safe and well organised working environment.
  2. Overseeing and maintaining HR systems and fostering a positive workplace culture that aligns with our values.
  3. Providing a PA service to the CEO and 4 other members of the team.

Key duties include

  • Organisation of meetings and taking notes as required.
  • Diary management.
  • Being the first point of contact for general operational and facilities matters.
  • Managing and accurately maintaining the HR information system.
  • Managing sickness reporting procedures.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding staff.
  • Servicing all Board meetings (agendas, minutes, distributing papers etc.)

About you

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years’ office manager/PA experience.
  • At least 2 years’ HR administration experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks at pace and with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work on own initiative.
  • Able to exercise discretion and work in a way to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
