Job Description

The Client Onboarding Team provides a dedicated end-to-end client onboarding and change management service to L&Gs Institutional Business, supporting the full range of product structures offered by the company. The team is responsible for co-ordinating the take-on/mandate change related tasks and activities across the business to ensure that client mandates are implemented comprehensively and in accordance with the client/ consultant's funding objective(s).

The primary role of the Client Onboarding Executive is to provide support for an ongoing stretegic initiative, the Strategic Target Operating Model (STOM), acting as subject matter expert for the Client Onboarding workflow and activities. This role will be partnering with both the Client Onboarding team to deliver client activity, and project team to feed into requirements for the future state model. As part of this work the successful candidate will play an important role enhancing current workflow tools and processes to set the team up for future success.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting STOM initiative acting as a conduit between Client Onboarding function and project team, to ensure future business processes align with team responsibilities in an efficient and controlled manner
  • Helping design and define business processes and update current Onboarding workflow tools to ensure they align to these. Help devise test scripts, and perform user acceptance testing of new workflow functionality, along with updating processes and supporting training for end users.
  • As necessary and as part of training, helping co-ordinate the onboarding and amendment of new fund and client mandates in partnership with impacted stakeholder teams, ensuring that the business is fully briefed and engaged, and all legal, operational, compliance and transitional requirements are comprehensively identified, tasked and completed. The Onboarding Executive is accountable for actively steering the course of progress and resolving impediments
  • Communicating effectively both internally and externally on the progress of onboarding work, holding (where required) regular working group meeting sessions with key stakeholders in order to monitor and manage progress
  • With the input and approval of internal and external stakeholders, completing any onboarding documentation required in remit of role linked onboarding the new fund, while ensuring all relevant stakeholder have relevant fund documentation to complete fund set-up. Creative and lateral thinking abilities are critical, as well as the ability to act as a business guardian, considering always LGIM's standard service and operational capabilities
  • Staying abreast of any enhancements/changes to Onboarding team processes, as well as new products supported, ensuring this is factored into STOM planning
  • Providing day-to-day and strategic support to Onboarding Managers within the team
Qualifications

Who we're looking for:
  • Strong academic background - Degree qualified (preferably 2.1) or equivalent
  • Training and presenting experience
  • Product/fund strategy & onboarding knowledge
  • Experience within the investment management industry
  • Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with external contacts up to and including senior levels
  • Experience drafting legal documentation
  • Knowledge of current investment, market, regulatory and economic matters
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate, influence and operate at a senior management level
  • Knowledge of end to end institutional segregated client onboarding process
