We are a small, start-up counselling service providing on-line low-cost therapy to individuals in need. Our service is delivered by placement students from accredited counselling and psychotherapy courses, ensuring accessibility while supporting trainee development. We are now looking for a Clinical Lead to oversee the clinical aspects of our service, ensuring high standards of ethical and professional practice.

The position will initially be 1 day a week, increasing to 2 days a week. It is remote working and working hours are flexible.

As the Clinical Lead, you will:

• Provide clinical oversight and ensure the quality of counselling provided by placement students.
• Offer group and/or individual supervision for trainees in line with BACP/UKCP guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to ethical frameworks, safeguarding policies, and risk management procedures.
• Work closely with the service’s management to develop policies and improve service delivery.
• Provide support and guidance to students as they gain practical experience.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional with:

• A recognised counselling/psychotherapy qualification (BACP/UKCP accredited or equivalent).
• Experience in clinical supervision, particularly with placement students or early-career therapists.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ethical practice.
• Passion for supporting low-cost mental health services and trainee development.
• Experience working in an on-line setting (desirable but not essential).
