Operational Risk Analyst

Statera Talent are recruiting an Operational Risk Analyst for a leading financial institution within Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification and Assessment:

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential operational risks within the organization.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks.

Risk Monitoring and Reporting:

• Continuously monitor risk exposure and ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
• Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of operational risks.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure risk management strategies are understood and implemented.

Policy and Procedure Development:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of risk management policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Incident Management:

• Investigate operational incidents and near misses to identify root causes.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in operational or enterprise risk management, or a background in internal audit with relevant exposure to risk management practices.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and frameworks.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
