  • Job Type: Full-time, Mon - Fri 9-5 (HYBRID)
  • Salary: Up to £27K Per Annum

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data input and report preparation
  • Experience in project administration or support within a logistics or freight forwarding environment is desirable
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and invoicing processes
  • Competence in using databases and office software for record-keeping and documentation.

    We are a dynamic freight forwarding company seeking an outgoing individual to join our fun and energetic operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting large projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As an Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of shipping and logistics tasks.

    Day to Day of the role:
  • Produce and issue shipping documentation in support of Project Coordinators and Project Managers
  • Provide project administration and support, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently
  • Expedite purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to meet project timelines
  • Liaise with subcontractors to meet strict deadlines and project requirements
  • Maintain accurate records within the shipping file, perform initial QA of Job Files
  • update Transfreight database records, and manage general filing
  • Handle the ordering and logging of international couriers, and process sales/purchase invoices up to authorised commitment levels. Answer telephone calls and handle messages professionally and promptly
  • Manage project invoicing and distribute schedules as required
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information
  • Input data accurately and prepare reports to support project management.
