We see this as a good opportunity for someone looking to work two days a week in the Wealth Management industry. You will be working within the Operations area on the Client Leaving department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn the administrative processes behind the closing of client accounts resulting in the final closing payment to the client, It will also provide the opportunity to learn other aspects of the department with a view to providing a wider knowledge and understanding of the industry.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can perform day to day administration tasks within an Operations team with the responsibility for the closure and transfer out of client accounts. The role mainly encompasses the transfer of account tax wrappers, ensuring the integrity of the wrapper is maintained at all times and overseeing the secure transfer of client cash. The role will also include the closure of Core accounts, and for the right candidate will give the opportunity to receive training on the transfer of the physical assets held within the client's portfolios. As part of the Client Leavers team, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all account data and cash transfer records are updated to accurately reflect the account closure / transfer on our in-house Operating system.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure prompt action is taken in accordance with client account closure and transfer instructions received.
  • Liaising with the Cashiers team to ensure the prompt and accurate transfer of client cash.
  • Liaison with third parties to ensure the secure transfer of account tax wrappers.
  • Tracking and following up of outstanding items.
  • Updating of in-house Operating systems.
  • Ensure that the necessary checks relating to updating our books and records are completed appropriately.
  • Liaison with other Operations teams / staff as necessary to complete tasks.
  • To assist the Client Leavers Team Manager to ensure that the department provides an effective and efficient service.
  • Adherence to appropriate CASS regulations.
  • Additional ad-hoc tasks as required to include support within the team.

  • Prior experience working as part of a team within the Wealth Management industry desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office required, particularly Excel
