Operations Analyst - Derivatives

The role:

  • Manage OTC derivative settlements, including resets, unwinds, and lifecycle events
  • Handle trade and reconciliation discrepancies
  • Collaborate closely with brokers, vendors, service providers, client teams, trading, and tech departments to ensure accurate trade capture and event processing
  • Review OTC trade communication for accurate trade capture and amendments
  • Resolve queries from dealers, service providers, and client agents
  • Support internal teams with OTC derivative queries and audit requests
  • Process exceptional events impacting OTC derivatives, such as credit events and corporate actions
  • Assist with margin, collateral, and clearing activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintain high work quality and accuracy, adhering to risk and control frameworks

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in back or middle office operations, ideally experience with in OTC derivatives
  • Self-starter with independent thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork and management interaction
  • Organized, motivated, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • This role requires a proactive approach to improving workflows and technology for efficiency.
  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience, technical proficiency in Excel and SQL
