Operations Manager
My client are seeking an experienced office based Operations Manager ready for their next challenge. This role is based in Darlington and offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will be a strong leader, capable of managing diverse personalities and gaining trust from the outset. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance and supporting the business’s strategic plans and goals.

Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Attend and prepare for Management meetings, including minutes and agendas.
- Manage annual audits and the file review system.
- Handle staff inductions, and support Directors in recruitment and retention.
- Assist in staff appraisals and implementing the organisation’s strategic plans.
- Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop effective relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure value and service.
- Line manage all department managers.
- Facilitate communication from Directors to managers and staff.
- Oversee facilities maintenance and management.
- Prepare reports and support Directors in business strategy development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operational management across various departments.
- Ability to manage a changing environment and maintain good communication.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to command respect.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Positive, ambitious attitude with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Reliable, committed, loyal, and hardworking.
- Confidence with IT systems and excellent attention to detail.
- Highly effective negotiation skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Honesty and fairness in dealing with people.
- Proven track record of managing large teams with exceptional organisational skills.
