Operations Manager - £50,000 - £70,000 (dep on experience) + Generous Benefits - 4 on 4 off continental shift pattern

Futures are delighted to be working with a well-known and fast-growing food manufacturing business. This business turnover £70m+ and has achieved 300% growth over the past 2 years.

Reporting into the Site Director, sitting on the site leadership team you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the production facility with full site accountability, leading up to 10 team leaders on shift.

Key Responsibilities of a Operations Manager:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supervisors and production staff
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and changes
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Ensure that production targets and quality standards are met or exceeded
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other process optimisation strategies
  • Manage shift staffing levels, schedules, and employee timekeeping

Successful Operations Manager will be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is desirable
  • 5+ years experience within the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
