As an Operations Manager, you will hold a critical position within our Coventry depot, overseeing all facets of daily operations to uphold our company’s rigorous standards and deliver unparalleled service to our valued customers. Your role will be instrumental in managing warehouse operations, optimizing fleet logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, all while fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and professional service delivery to all customers, adhering to contractual obligations
Manage depot operations cost-effectively without compromising service quality
Maintain and enhance service level agreements, aligning team efforts towards common objectives
Investigate customer complaints thoroughly, implementing preventive measures to enhance service reliability
Report operational issues promptly to the Depot Manager for swift resolution
Review and refine service delivery strategies to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Timely submission of operational reports to stakeholders as per established timelines
Efficiently plan and allocate workload and manpower resources to achieve operational targets
About you:
Demonstrated leadership skills with a motivational approach to team management
Profound understanding of logistics and technical regulations within the waste management sector
Strong financial acumen and business insight to drive operational improvements
Effective communicator capable of fostering collaborative relationships across all organizational levels
Proven ability to innovate and challenge existing practices for continuous operational enhancement
Creative problem-solving skills suited for a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Commitment to health and safety standards, with IOSH Managing Safely certification essential
TMCPC in Road Haulage would be advantageous for this role
