We are recruiting for one of the largest European relocation specialists in the UK. Their reach is unparalleled with an estimated 260 trips departing by road on an annual basis. They are now looking to speak to an experienced Ops / Warehouse Manager from within the Removals and Storage Industry.

Strong experience in managing a team or crew is essential, as you will be responsible for overseeing the work of staff, coordinating tasks, and ensuring efficient operations.

This is a hands-on position requiring involvement in the warehousing process, including tasks such as operating a forklift.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising maintenance tasks, including inspections and resolving defects.
  • Assisting with warehousing duties including operating a forklift.
  • Managing tachograph records and ensuring compliance with removal drivers' hours regulations.
  • Enforcing measures to prevent overloading and control speeding incidents.
  • Liaising with the Traffic Commissioner for necessary notifications and commitments.
  • Handling administrative duties related to warehouse operations and removals customer communication.
  • Overseeing forklift operations, administrative functions, and team supervision.
  • Efficiently managing operational schedules.
  • Approving timesheets and processing expense claims.
  • Addressing inquiries from both removal customers and employees.
  • Establishing and implementing standardized processes and procedures.
  • Providing support in handling removals customer complaints and managing damage reports.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Necessary understanding of the Removals industry.
  • Team / Crew management.
  • Proficiency in fleet maintenance and transportation regulations.
  • Skills in leadership and managerial roles.
  • Robust organizational, analytical, and planning abilities.
  • Competence in problem-solving and communication.
  • Background in customer service and computer proficiency.
  • Readiness to work Saturdays and adapt to flexible schedules.
