A fantastic independent Opticians based in Newton Aycliffe are looking for an Optical Assistant to join the team working 3, 4 or 5 days a week. This is an established small group of independents with a loyal patient base, offering a patient centred environment.

Optical Assistant - Role

• Family run practices
• Working between 2 or 3 practices which are all close together
• Single testing room practices
• Optix computer system
• Focus on service and quality rather than volume
• 45-60 min testing times
• Constant investment into the business
• Assisting in all areas of the practice including reception and dispensing
• Freedom to choose the very best options for patients
• Flexible full or part time role with 1 in 4 Sats off
• Typical working hours are from 9am to 5.30pm (5pm on a Sat)
• Basic salary around £24,000
• Bonus scheme
• Free parking at each practice

Optical Assistant - Requirements

• Previous experience of working in an Opticians - 2+ Years
• Potential to help with management
• Wants to help develop and grow the business
• Wants to be a part of a friendly, close knit team
• Excellent communication skills
• Patient focused
