Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Oracle System Tester to join the team.

Location: London (Remote Working)

Salary: c£45,000 PA

Job Type: Full - Time, 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

About The Company:

Our client, a renowned university, is seeking a skilled Oracle System Tester to support their IT team in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of their Oracle-based systems as they transition to a cloud-based solution.

Oracle System Tester – The Role:

The Oracle System Tester will be responsible for testing Oracle databases and applications, ensuring they meet the university’s quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with the development team to identify, document, and resolve issues, contributing to the seamless operation of the university's systems.

Oracle System Tester – Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute test plans for Oracle database and application systems

- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing

- Identify and document defects, and work with developers to resolve them

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and ensure coverage

- Develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools

- Maintain documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results

- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices

- Provide regular reports on testing activities and outcomes

Oracle System Tester – You:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

- Proven experience in testing Oracle databases and applications

- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database tools

- Familiarity with testing automation tools and frameworks

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment

- Experience in an educational or similar sector is a plus
