Summary

We’re looking for a person to carry out gardening and minor maintenance duties. Day to day, you will support the delivery of an enjoyable holidays experience for our guests across 5 holiday cottages. We anticipate this role to be spread across 3 days each week during the gardening season (Mon, Fri and Thurs or Sat between 10-4). In winter hours this could be two 7.5 hr days, to be agreed.

Hours: 15 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term contract until 30-Dec-2024

Salary: £11.75 per hour

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Holidays Manager, you'll join a team of 7 including a Team Leader and 6 Holidays Operation Assistants. You'll be lone working.

What you'll be doing

In addition to the routine practical tasks, which are predominantly grass mowing, hedge cutting and general flower border gardening, we may also need you to undertake ad hoc minor maintenance within the cottages.

Our gardens are the first and last image a guest will have during their holiday and so we want our outdoor spaces to be as important as the interiors, reflecting the NT quality standard our guests expect.

Your role may also involve face-to-face interactions with our guests and other estate visitors, working closely alongside the Ickworth Gardeners and our own Holidays team.

A positive can-do attitude is a must in the varying world of Holidays and in return we offer a flexible structure to your working day and stunning locations which we hope you'll maintain with pride.
