PA/Office Manager Town Council
Are you an experience PA or Office manager? Do you have an understanding or experience within a Council environment and enjoy engaging with your local community? Our client, a lovely local organisation, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join fulfil a varied and dynamic role!
Job Title: PA/Office Manager (Town Council)
Location:Budleigh Salterton
Hours:?9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week full time
Salary: £33,000-£36,000 Dependent on experience
Benefits:?25 days leave per year rising to 28 days leave after five years plus Bank Holidays.
The Company:We are excited to be working with a local, community-based client. They are seeking to employ and Office PA, working within a small, friendly team of 2 you will also be supported by an assistant. This company gives the successful candidate an opportunity to really love, grow and develop within the role!
The Role:The successful candidate will play an integral role in managing day-to-day business activities within the local community. You will confidently communicate with a wide range of individuals both internally and externally across the community as well as being proficient in decision making and having a thorough understanding of policies and financial budgets within the role. You will thrive working across a variety of duties, often multitasking, and have excellent organisational skills.
Key Duties :
- Act as a representative within the community
- Responsible for managing day to day business
- Attending and organising meetings, producing agendas and minutes
- Liaising with internal and external colleagues and clients across the community
- Thorough understanding of polices to be able to inform and advise accordingly
- Resource Management
- Responsible for financial records and the administration and management of financial funds across the community
- Receive and monitor correspondence, manage, escalate and implement decisions where necessary
- Prepare proposals for council approval
- Event organisation and management
About You
· Highly organised, able to work under pressure and to deadlines
· Ability to manage and prioritise work load
· Confident working independently and from own initiative
· Excellent and efficient communication skills both written and in person
· Able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and impartiality
· Confident in decision making
· Experienced IT use, able to confidently use email, Microsoft Office and Excel
· Financial management experience
· Council or government administration understanding and experience is highly desirable
