Location: North Acton

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Package Manager to join a tier one main contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in West London. The Package Manager will play a leading role in delivering structural steel packages across multiple sites for the project and accountable for the execution of the works from start to finish. This will include involvement from design and preconstruction through to construction, completion and handover.

The Package Manager will be tasked with developing excellent working relationships with key subcontractors and ensuring installations are completed right, first time. This will include balancing the needs of the project and the capacity of the supply chain to ensure works are delivered in line with the programme and in an efficient manner. You'll be working closely with the design, commercial and technical teams to ensure the successful execution of all works and your other duties will include:

  • Acting as a safe leader, ensuring that safety is effectively managed throughout the project life cycle
  • Managing the completion of stage 5 detailed designs
  • Minimising the impact of the project and works on the environment
  • Sharing your knowledge to ensure continuous improvement and enhancing the contractors value offering
  • Engaging with in house and subcontract technical teams to gain specialist support for technical challenges
  • Support the commercial team with the administration of contracts
  • Provide weekly reports on the status of subcontract packages


The successful Package Manager will need to have experience in the following areas:

  • Previously worked on a major infrastructure or building project
  • Experience managing structural steel packages
  • Experience managing NEC subcontracts
  • Experience managing detailed subcontractor designs
  • Excellent communication skills
