Paediatric Occupational Therapy- Band 6

Location: Newport

Start date- ASAP

End date- 3+ months

Shift Pattern:

  • Full time - Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 - 16:00 (some flexibility in hours) Will consider part time
  • Car driver preferable but not essential. Working across 3 locations

Skills/Experience:

  • (OT) team sits within the Specialist Disabled Childrens Service and comprises of OT Team Manager
  • Team provides assessment of disabled children’s needs in the community (home environment) in relation to potential need for major and minor adaptations, as well as specialist equipment provision and moving and handling advice
  • Seeking a child centred Occupational Therapist to join us in our county wide team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing service, helping to develop a preventative and pro-active approach to disabled facilities, equipment and adaptations provision
  • Professional assessments and care interventions within legislation and the COT and HCPC practice requirements
  • Manage, supervise and support staff as required
  • Contribute the skills, knowledge and performance of the OT team
  • Must have experience in NHS or acute medical experience
