  • Pay: £19.03 per hour via umbrella

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our damp, mould, and condensation team. This role involves carrying out mould treatments throughout the Kirklees Borough. A driving licence and use of own vehicle are essential for this position.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Decorate interiors and exteriors of Council properties, public buildings, and schools to maintain aesthetic standards.
  • Ensure client or tenant satisfaction through the quality of work and prompt service.
  • Maintain a positive business image and adhere to the Council’s Equal Opportunities and Environment Policies.
  • Complete relevant records like timesheets accurately and ensure Health and Safety compliance.
  • Stay updated with technological developments in the trade and report any serious Health and Safety concerns.
  • Undertake training and development as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in painting and decorating.
  • Apprentice-trained with City & Guilds/NVQ III in the relevant trade or equivalent.
  • Skills in hanging wide fabric and paper lining, applying sprayed finishes, and working in maintenance environments.
  • Full driving license is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexibility to adapt to varying workloads.
  • Awareness of Customer Care, Equality Issues, and Health and Safety.
  • Ability to bend, lift, crawl in confined spaces, and work at heights.
