We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our Property Team in our Devon locality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll be doing

As a Painter/Decorator you will carry out all forms of repairs in our properties and elsewhere in accordance with work schedules.

Tasks to include:

• Measuring surface areas to work out how much paint or wall covering is required.
• Stripping off old wallpaper or paint.
• Filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level.
• Preparing surfaces with primer and undercoat.
• Mixing paint to the right shade, either by hand or using computerised color-matching equipment.
• Applying layers of paint and hanging wallpaper.
• Tidying up after finishing a job.

What you'll need

You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Painting & Decorating OR have at least 5 years experience within this core trade. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. 

Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.

Enjoy working as part of a team

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week.

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.

This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic DBS disclosure.
