Paralegal (Highways and Environment) Job OpeningJob Description

A local Authority in the local area of Lancashire, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal with experience in Public Rights of Way to join their Highways and Environment Department. The successful candidate will assist with the general legal work of the team, particularly relating to public rights of way matters.

Responsibilities
  • Dealing with Public Rights of Way matters within the team particularly the submission of matters to the Planning inspectorate
  • Preparation of electronic bundles of documents for Planning Inspectorate as per their checklist
  • Providing support and assistance to Solicitors in the team.
  • Retrieval of paper files, searching for documentation on paper and electronic files, scanning
  • Drafting Orders and Notices
Requirements
  • Experience in Public Rights of Way is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Qualifications
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field preferred
