The Firm 

Brown and Co Solicitors is an experienced firm of solicitors based in Greenwich offering legal services across a number of specialisms, Wills and Probate, Residential and Commercial Conveyancing and Employment.

The Role
The ideal candidate will conduct residential and commercial conveyancing and probate matters. On conveyancing this will entail compliance with anti-money laundering rules, verifying title, searches, reports on title and post completion matters. On probate this will cover drafting wills, applying for probate (non contentious probate) and conduct of probate claims eg Inheritance Act claims (contentious probate).

Responsibilities

  •  Review and draft routine legal documents
  •  Create and maintain case files
  • Onboarding clients in accordance with regulatory and firm requirements
  • Anti money laundering procedures
  • Veirfication of title
  • Conduct legal research
  • Raising queries of seller's solicitor
  • Responding to queries of buyer's solicitor
  • Review, advise and complete commercial leases, lease extensions, license to alterations and similar
  • Prepare or respond to due diligence queries on purchase/sale of a business
  • Post-completion actions

Qualifications

Minimum 18 months - 2 years of Conveyancing and/or Probate Experience 

Law Degree (LLB Hons) or a mixed law degree

LPC 

After completion of 6 -12 months as a Paralegal and subject to satisfactory performance you will be offered a training contract to qualify as a Solicitor.

You will be a highly motivated and driven individual who is also commercially aware of the need to progress cases efficiently and generate fee income for the firm.
