Supportive law firm in Orpington, Kent have a full-time hybrid working position for a Small Claims Litigation Handler within their debt recovery department. The role is a great opportunity for a paralegal looking to progress their career within a firm that places training and staff development at its heart. You will be running your own portfolio of small claims RTA cases whilst working with the support of an experienced team.

The Role
Claims are received from a motor insurer client. Your role is to recover money paid out by them from the party responsible, through the process of litigation. You will be:

·Running own caseload of small claims RTA matters from pre-litigation through to completion
·Contacting parties to obtain relevant evidence
·Review and reply to correspondence as required
·Regularly updating client on progress of claim
·Drafting and issuing legal proceedings
·Preparing evidence for Court
·Instructing Barristers/Counsel to attend hearings
·Undertaking various administration as needed

Required skills
Candidates must have at least 6 months work experience relating to RTA/Motor Insurance Claims.
