Paraplanner - Boutique Wealth Management Business
A prestigious boutique Wealth and Investment Management firm, located in the heart of Yorkshire, is looking to appoint a Paraplanner to join their growing team. You'll often be the first point of contact, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for providing outstanding customer service.
In this role, you'll manage client relationships and support key financial planning areas, including:
- Tax planning: ISA and pension contributions, CGT planning.
- Investment planning.
- Retirement planning.
- Estate planning.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Planner in client meetings, taking detailed notes to document financial needs and objectives.
- Prepare suitability reports.
- Provide support to the Financial Planner, ensuring ethical client service.
- Maintain client relationships by keeping them informed, answering queries, and arranging review meetings.
- Regularly review client portfolios and maintain a system to assess client holdings and financial priorities.
- Use research and planning tools such as FE Analytics, Selectapension, CashCalc, AJ Bell Investcentre, and Aegon.
About you:
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent report writing.
- IT literate with Microsoft and financial planning software.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in paraplanning or a similar role.
- Financial Planning Diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Chartered Financial Planning qualification (or working towards it) desirable.
- Able to work from head office near York or be based remotely.
