Job Description

Our client based in South East Scotland is recruiting an experienced Paraplanner to join their friendly team servicing corporate and private clients. One of the top rated teams in the region providing all-round holistic planning including investment planning, trust work, inheritance tax planning and retirement options.

This position offers the opportunity to provide technical and paraplanning support to the firm’s advisers. You may be qualified or part-qualified CII, study support would be provided.

In this role you will be responsible for :-

  • Supporting the Compliance Manager in ensuring the firm operates in a compliant manner and maintaining records.
  • Technical and Paraplanning support for the advisers.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of communications with both internal and external customers, both orally and written which will include letters and emails.
  • Ensuring that client files and records, both paper and electronic, are up to date, and accurate. (intelligent Office)
  • Producing illustrations and preparation of client files for meetings.
  • Diary Management

Requirements

The ideal candidate will

  • Experience in a similar role in the Financial Services Industry preferred
  • Progress in CII examinations (or equivalent) would be an advantage (and support to study is offered)
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, principally Word and Excel. Familiarity with Intelligent Office and Voyant Cashflow would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in a pool of paraplanners
