Overview: A well-established firm of Chartered Financial Planners is seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join their Adviser Support team. The firm, known for its organic growth and high professional standards, is located in a picturesque village offering a pleasant commute and attractive surroundings.
Role Description: The successful candidate will provide comprehensive paraplanning support, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in financial advice. This office-based role includes:
Responsibilities:
- Supporting advisers with paraplanning and technical assistance
- Compiling recommendation paperwork and suitability reports
- Producing tax calculations (Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, etc.)
- Conducting preapproval file reviews for complex cases
- Preparing client valuations and sourcing investment information
- Maintaining client and research records in line with compliance policies
- Submitting new business applications, tracking progress, and ensuring accuracy
- Performing product research, analysis, and due diligence
- Liaising with clients, providers, and professional connections via phone and writing
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner in a financial planning practice
- Fully Diploma-qualified; Pension Transfer Specialist qualification (G60/AF3/AF7) preferred
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Office365 and financial planning software
- Attention to detail, excellent written English, and strong numerical skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems independently
