Parking Enforcement Officer
  • Salary: £24,000-26,000 per annum plus 5% shift allowance
  • Location: Cheltenham
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (Part-time considered)
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week across x3 shift patterns

As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you’ll be part of a dedicated Parking Team responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of 15 town car parks, ensuring compliance with parking regulations, and providing excellent customer service.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Patrol managed car parks following a shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Assist and advise the public with parking enquiries and the use of ticketing machines.
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on parking and service-related machinery (training provided).
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices for parking contraventions.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, ensuring a safe and compliant parking environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a passion for public service.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in confrontational situations.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Enjoyment of outdoor work.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to operate mobile phone-based software systems.
