Reed are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Analyst to join a fantastic team based in North Somerset.

As an Assistant Commercial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating pricing activity conducted by the Commercial team and providing valuable insights into margin contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce regular reporting for the Commercial & Finance team, including customer profitability and performance reports (volume, price & mix analysis).
  • Analyse and interpret performance trends related to volumes, price, mix, segment, customer, and region.
  • Identify areas of opportunity based on reporting and analysis, highlighting them to the Commercial Finance Business Partner for follow-up.
  • Prepare monthly overheads management reporting with clear commentary on deviations to budget and prior year.
  • Collaborate with budget holders to prepare cost centre reports and rolling forecast reports.
  • Fulfil ad hoc report and information requests from various Commercial stakeholders.

About You:

  • Keen eye for detail and initiative to develop additional reporting.
  • Self-starter who enjoys creating reports and providing insights to key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical understanding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • AAT Qualified or part qualified ACCA / CIMA
