We are working with Bolton Council to find a part-time Administrator on a temporary basis.

Job Type: Part-time (16 hours per week, 10am-2pm Monday to Thursday)

Location: Castleton Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton. In-office

Hourly rate: £12.25 per hour

Length of role: Initial 2 months

We are seeking an Administrator to join our Safeguarding Adults Team, providing essential support to a Social Worker with visual impairment. This role is integral to ensuring the department operates effectively and efficiently, with a focus on administrative tasks within both the Safeguarding Adults Team and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) Team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide support to users of Adult social care administrative services.
  • Collaborate with team members to support and enhance team performance.
  • Record, store, and supply information accurately.
  • Support and maintain the use of information systems, including databases.
  • Organise diaries, including business travel, and contribute to meeting and event arrangements.
  • Attend meetings to take notes/minutes and produce documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a busy office environment.
  • Proficiency in using a range of computer software packages to produce well-presented documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Understanding of the services provided by Adult Services is desirable.
