Part-time Family Support Worker

  • Hourly Rate: £15.09
  • Location: Accrington
  • Job Type: Part-time 2-3 days per week

We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team, providing essential support and guidance to families in need. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for social work and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct assessments to identify the needs of families and develop tailored support plans.
  • Provide practical support and advice to families facing a range of challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to family support.
  • Facilitate and lead group sessions and workshops aimed at promoting positive family relationships.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of families, adjusting support plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in social work, counselling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with families in a supportive capacity.
  • Strong understanding of the issues and challenges faced by families in need.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing needs.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
