Part Time Finance Manager | Fast Growth Luxury Drinks Scaleup | North London / Hybrid

Harmonic are proud to be working with a fast-growing luxury drinks business on the hire of their first Finance Manager to join the team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week).

Having scaled up organically over the past 10 years our client is a well-established player in the luxury drinks space who has seen revenue growth to £10m+ over the past few years with ambitions to carry on scaling. Reporting to the Company Directors, this role will oversee the management of an Accounts Assistant as well as managing the day-to-day running of the finance department.

Our client sells their products in high volume at premium costs and operate both a wholesale and ecommerce revenue model so the ideal candidate will be able to help to streamline efficiencies across the AP/AR functions as well as creating and sharing robust reports and commercial commentary to support the future growth of the business.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the company accounts and finances. This includes the month end management accounts as well as supporting the external accountants with year end statutory accounts
  • Management of an Accounts Assistant (full time) who supports with the AP/AR transactions.
  • Financial transaction management (revenue and margin) of revenue streams within the business
  • Business partner with the wider teams to ensure the numbers reported are a true representation
  • Month end journals, accrued/deferred revenue, accruals, and prepayments
  • Revenue recognition (accounting treatment of revenue and impact of deliverables)
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Financial Control environment
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for balance sheet codes
  • Support the company Directors with any elements of the budgeting & forecasting process

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • PQ or Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-rounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Xero accounting software experience
  • Experience within a product based business i.e ecommerce / retail / food / drink / consumer goods / manufacturing etc

Start Date: ASAP (Will consider 3 month notice periods)

Salary: £60,000-70,000 (pro rata / 2 or 3 days considered)

Location: North London / Hybrid (1 day in office / 2 days WFH)
