Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teacher of Food technology looking for a new part time role in Manchester?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a specialist Food teacher to join an oversubscribed private school in south Manchester from as soon as possible.

This is a temporary part time supply teacher role.

The Job

Teacher of Food & Catering

Monday - half day - afternoon

Tuesday - half day - afternoon

Wednesday - full day

Thursday - half day - morning

Friday - half day - morning

Delivery of food technology, nutrition and health and catering with a focus on innovative practical lessons

Experience of GCSE food is desirable as the timetable is including some GCSE classes.

The school are seeking a talented and enthusiastic food teacher able to teach inclusive fun food technology lessons in a safe and innovative way.

The school are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners and further education catering specialists with experience of teaching Food to students aged 11 to 16.

The school follows as Islamic ethos but welcome teachers from all faiths and backgrounds.

Oversubscribed independent school for girls aged 11 to 16 in South Manchester

Relocated in August 2023 to new larger premises

Excellent senior leadership support

Small classes of up to 15 students with impeccable behaviour and a drive to be academically successful.

The school is part of a thriving private academy trust supporting Manchester's Islamic community which includes a boys school and a preparatory school.

To join us and be successful in this Food Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS, be an ECT or have a FE teaching qualification such as PGDE or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a full CV of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK
